Google Project Glass Released

Project Glass is an outcome of advance and big research and development program by Google to develop an augmented reality head-mounted display (HMD).These Project Glass was developed to serve a purpose of Project Glass products would be the hands free displaying of information currently available to most smartphone users.

It allows interaction with the Internet via natural language voice commands.The functionality and physical appearance (minimalist design of the aluminium strip with 2 nose pads) has been compared to Steve Mann’s EyeTap,which was also referred to as “Glass” (“EyeTap Digital Eye Glass”, i.e. use of the word “Glass” in singular.
The Project glass will be running Google’s Android operating system.
Project Glass is part of the Google X Lab at the company, which all time works on other futuristic technologies an there motive is to reach future things as soon as possible, such as a self-driving car. The project was announced on Google+ by Babak Parviz, an electrical engineer who has also worked on putting displays into contact lenses; Steve Lee, a project manager and “geolocation specialist”; and Sebastian Thrun, who developed Udacity as well as worked on the self-driving car project. Google has patented the design of Project Glass.
