Intel Itanium 9500 processor launched

Intel itanium 9500 series
Today, Intel launched a new series of Intel processors i.e Intel itanium 9500 processors for increasing demanding workloads such as business analytics, database, and large-scale enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications. Intel has claimed that, This series of processor is twice faster as the previous series of processors.Earlier, Many industries was using itanium processors like Aerspace, energy, life sciences and telecommunications. Now with this new processor i.e itanium 9500 processor, Intel has said that,These industries will have many benefits by using this new series processor like better reliability, availability and service.
The itanium 9500 processors contains 3.1 billion transistors. As previous version which as codenamed as “Poulson” supports 4 cores, But Itanium 9500 series processor will support 8 cores and can support upto 2Tb of RAM.
Itanium 9500 processor is based on the new micro architecture and Intel has also claimed that Intel will also launches a Future Itanium processors with a innovative Modular Development model that will  enables deeper commonality between Itanium and Xeon processors E7 family, from shared silicon design elements to full socket compatibility.
